Screenshoot of Power to Decides new Interactive State Policy Map

Power to Decide Adds Interactive Policy Maps

Contraceptive policies vary widely by state. This creates a potentially confusing situation for many young people who are trying to make decisions related to sexual health and reproduction. Power to Decide has expanded its website to include a set of interactive maps that define each state’s reproductive health access policies. Interactive Knowledge designed and built the maps a part of our ongoing website maintenance and support contract with Power to Decide.

The new section includes information about which states allow private or public insurers to provide an extended supply of contraceptives, which state’s policy protects contraceptive coverage by all insurers, and which states allow pharmacists to prescribe contraception (and which methods). There is a wealth of additional information for public health professionals, elected officials and birth control advocates that provide links to content on the Power to Decide website as well as external resources.
